Home

We’re back! I missed my own bed, the sound of rain on our iron roof, reliable internet access, my cat, friends and family. Things I’m relieved to leave behind include overcooked vegetables (especially chips), deep fried anything, humidity, air travel. Things I wish I could bring back with me: the sheer green-ness of the landscape, pots of flowers everywhere that nobody steals or vandalises, brightly coloured houses (I want one in sky blue), unfaltering politeness, maple and pecan icecream.

Now that I’m home there’s all the domestic stuff to catch up on, friends and family to catch up with, sleep patterns to sort out and work commitments looming. I have a big bag of yarn, two FOs and one WIP waiting to be blogged about. But that’ll have to wait until I’ve sorted the above.
