Josh Socks

After I finished my Dad’s socks I found that, despite not feeling the urge to knit as strongly as I used to, I still wanted to have a sock on the needles. So I had a look at the sock yarn stash… and that made me remember again how overstuffed my sock drawer is, not to mention the size of my ‘stockpile’ of finished socks.

So I decided to continue with Socks For Others. After putting the word out among my friends I soon had another list of six recipients. One was Josh, the son of a friend I’d be seeing soon. Knitting toddler socks out of leftover yarn appealed, and in no time I had these done:

While have been presented, tried on and officially adopted. Trouble is, socks this small and quick to knit seem like cheating. I’m thinking I’ll knit another pair for Josh. And since they are good filler projects, and I have so much leftover sock yarn, I’m sure I’ll be making many more.
